Dutch boutique supercar maker Spyker has priced its new supercar, the C8 Preliator, at $354,900.
This is the brand’s first new car on the market since declaring bankruptcy, and the Preliator name translates to mean “fighter” or “warrior” in Latin, showing the brands willingness to fight back in the face of financial adversity.
The price tag puts this car alongside machines like the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and the Lamborghini Aventador, though it is also going after more luxury focused cars like the Aston Martin Vanquish and Rolls-Royce Wraith. While it is more expensive than both the Vanquish and Wraith, the C8 Preliator will be more exclusive, with just 50 examples built in total.

The C8 Preliator comes with a mid-mounted supercharged 4.2-liter V8 from Audi making 518 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. This makes the car good for a 3.7-second run to 62 mph and a top speed just over 200 mph.
According to Spyker, the new chassis is lighter and 10 percent stiffer than the outgoing model. Suspension is supplied by Lotus, consisting of front and rear independent double-wishbone suspension, coilover dampers and forged aluminum pieces. Carbon ceramic brakes are available as an option.
